I have a library of thousands of books. They sit in innumerable bookshelves, in stacks on the floor, as makeshift furniture and doorstops. There are books in the bathrooms, in the kitchen, under the sofa. This year I’ve promised to take one book each day and review it again before placing it back on the shelves. There are some I won’t have seen or thought about for years and, maybe, it will curb the need to buy yet more books? We shall see.
